Young Artist Concerto Competition

The Livingston Symphony Orchestra created the annual Young Artist Concerto Competition in 1975 to help support the growth of our local young artists and highlight music education in the state of New Jersey. The competition draws from the finest musical talent in the tri-state area, open to young musicians ages 14 to 21.

The Young Artist Concerto Competition has become a stepping stone for young musicians hoping to become professional artists, and has proven to be an excellent showcase of NJ talent!  Dedicated artists from across the state, aged 14-21, compete annually for the grand prize of a $750 scholarship and a solo performance with the orchestra. The LSO strives to support excellence in the arts through the competition and to provide the winner valuable resources for continued excellence.
